Consistently Advancing Workplace HIV/AIDS Prevention, PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Earns Provincial OHS Award in South Sulawesi

On February 18, 2026, PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Indonesia Tbk (PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½) reaffirmed its strong commitment to occupational health and safety (OHS) by receiving the Provincial OHS Award for Workplace HIV/AIDS Prevention and Management in South Sulawesi. The award was presented at the South Sulawesi Governor¡¯s Office in Makassar by Andi Darmawan Bintang, Assistant II for Economics and Development, and received on behalf of PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ by Busman Dahlan Shirat, Manager of External Relations Regional & SDP Growth.

The recognition was part of the 2026 National OHS Month commemoration at the provincial level, emphasizing cross-sector collaboration to strengthen workplace safety culture. PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ has been actively engaged in various safety campaigns, including the ¡°Anti Mager¡± (Anti-Sedentary Movement) initiative held in February 2026 to promote a healthier and more safety-conscious community.

Previously, on August 23, 2024, PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ received the Gold Award for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Management (P2HIV/AIDS) from the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower for its Sorowako Block and Indonesia Growth Project (IGP) in Pomalaa.

According to Dr. Christina Norma Susilowati, Medical Advisor and Chair of PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½¡¯s HIV Working Group, the P2HIV program is an integral part of the company¡¯s Occupational Health framework. ¡°We strengthen this program through education, screening, and improved access to occupational health services. These efforts align with the provincial government¡¯s concerns regarding the rising trend of HIV/AIDS cases in South Sulawesi,¡± Dr. Christina explained.

As of September 2025, East Luwu Regency¡ªone of PTVI¡¯s operational areas¡ªreported 196 HIV/AIDS cases, up from 171 in 2024. At the provincial level, South Sulawesi recorded 1,214 cases between January and August 2025, predominantly among males from various risk groups, including MSM, pregnant women, TB patients, and the general population.

In support of Indonesia¡¯s ¡°AIDS-Free 2030¡± vision, local authorities have introduced the Three Zeros commitment: Zero new infections, Zero AIDS-related deaths, and Zero stigma and discrimination for people living with HIV/AIDS.

PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½¡¯s latest award reflects more than regulatory compliance¡ªit underscores the company¡¯s responsibility to ensure a safe and protected work environment, including safeguarding workers from communicable diseases such as HIV/AIDS. This commitment is expected to further strengthen a professional, holistic, and sustainable OHS culture across South Sulawesi.
