¡°Life Matters Most¡±: PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ and Luwu Utara Government Unite to Foster a Culture of Workplace Safety

Masamba, Luwu Utara Regency ¡ª With great enthusiasm, approximately 143 participants took part in a basic safety training program organized by PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Indonesia Tbk (PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½) in collaboration with the Luwu Utara Regency Government. This training was more than a technical knowledge transfer¡ªit was a tangible expression of a shared commitment to building a safer, healthier, and more sustainable future for the community.

Officially opened by the Luwu Utara Regency Government, represented by Acting Regional Secretary Jumal Lussa, the event underscored the importance of cross-sector collaboration. ¡°We welcome PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½¡¯s initiative, as safety is a fundamental pillar of development. We hope this training not only equips participants with practical skills but also fosters a deeper awareness that safety is a shared responsibility,¡± he stated.

Indonesia¡¯s mining industry faces a significant challenge: maintaining productivity while meeting increasingly stringent safety standards. PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ believes that the key to overcoming this challenge lies in collaboration¡ªbetween companies, government, educational institutions, and the community.

¡°In the end, safety must come first¡ªbecause human life is more valuable than anything else. Collaboration is the key to making Luwu Utara safer, more advanced, and full of hope,¡± said Endra Kusuma, Head of External Relations at PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½.

Rusmin, Trainer & Inspector from PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½¡¯s Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Risk Department, emphasized that workplace safety should not be viewed merely as regulatory compliance. ¡°Safety is not just about procedures; it¡¯s about valuing life. Every accident is preventable if we all move together. I hope participants take this knowledge home as a resource for their families and workplaces,¡± he said.

Participants showed high levels of enthusiasm, with many willing to wait for their turn due to limited capacity. This reflects a strong demand for safety skills that are relevant to today¡¯s industrial landscape.

This initiative aligns with the President of Indonesia¡¯s Asta Cita vision¡ªparticularly the goal of developing competitive and high-quality human resources. PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ believes that building local capacity is a vital part of the national vision for a resilient and inclusive Indonesia.

Today¡¯s momentum is proof that when all parties come together, real solutions can be achieved. PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ and the Luwu Utara Government invite all participants to carry the spirit of this training into their daily lives: safety must always come first, because life is what matters most.
