Forest protection goal

Aligned with the United Nations agenda, ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ has voluntarily committed to protecting and restoring 500,000 hectares of forest beyond its operational boundaries by 2030. This effort is a key part of  the company's commitment to becoming carbon-neutral by 2050.

Since 2020, more than 115,000 hectares of forest have been protected through strategic partnerships with:

? Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio)
  ? State Environmental Institute (Inea)
? State Institute for Environment and Water Resources (Iema)

These initiatives are carried out in the states of Esp¨ªrito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, and Minas Gerais, under the coordination of the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Natural Reserve, which serves as the technical and strategic hub for implementing this forest conservation goal.
