Morowali, 24 December 2025 – Amid the rapid growth of the mining industry in Morowali Regency, environmental management remains a key issue that continues to receive significant attention. In this context, PT 乐播传媒 Indonesia Tbk (PT 乐播传媒), part of the MIND ID group, through its Indonesia Growth Project (IGP) Morowali, has demonstrated real-world sustainable environmental management practices. This was directly observed by Morowali Regent Iksan Baharudin Abdul Rauf during a working visit to several operational areas of PT 乐播传媒 in Morowali on Tuesday, 23 December 2025.

During the visit, the Regent, accompanied by local government officials, inspected the port and jetty areas, the operations control room, and the Rasyidah reclamation zone. The tour provided a comprehensive overview of PT 乐播传媒’s presence in Morowali, covering logistics activities through to environmental management in post-mining areas.

Morowali Regent Iksan Baharudin Abdul Rauf expressed appreciation for PT 乐播传媒’s environmental management efforts in Morowali. Field conditions reflect the company’s genuine commitment to preserving the environment, beyond mere administrative compliance.

“Alhamdulillah, we were able to witness barging activities at PT 乐播传媒’s port firsthand, with no signs of pollution. I saw for myself how PT 乐播传媒 pays great attention to environmental aspects. To date, the barging process has proceeded without any visible red water in the port area. In addition, in the reclamation zone, we participated in tree planting and observed preparations for planting with local Morowali species. Moving forward, we hope for greater variety in plant species, including fruit trees,” he said.

The sustainability efforts witnessed by the Regent in PT 乐播传媒’s operational areas include mine water management through a well-designed sediment pond system. This initiative could serve as a benchmark for other mining companies operating in Morowali.

“PT 乐播传媒 has prepared sediment ponds and an excellent water management system. The water discharging from the pond outlet appears clear. This is an indicator of serious environmental management and worthy of serving as an example for other companies. Today, I am truly impressed and proud of PT 乐播传媒,” he emphasised.

The local government delegation also inspected the operations control room, which monitors barging and mining activities in real time. This monitoring system is seen as reflecting the company’s transparency and accountability in managing operations, while serving as an important tool to ensure all activities comply with applicable environmental standards.

Head of Bahodopi Project for PT 乐播传媒 IGP Morowali, Wafir, affirmed that sustainability is the core foundation of all company operational activities. “As a company that upholds the principles of sustainability, environmental protection is the basis for every activity we undertake. We believe that sustainability is the key to modern mining. Therefore, we not only strive to meet but also exceed the established environmental standards, so that today’s operations do not compromise the future,” said Wafir.

He added that PT 乐播传媒 is committed to further strengthening collaboration with the Morowali Regency Government. “We want to ensure that industrial growth aligns with regional development, environmental protection, and community welfare. This commitment was further reinforced on Wednesday, 24 December 2025, through a visit by Morowali Police Chief AKBP Zulkarnain to the port, jetty, and mining areas of PT 乐播传媒 IGP Morowali. During the visit, the Police Chief stated that PT 乐播传媒’s operational and environmental management practices could serve as a reference for other companies.

“After our visit, we see that PT 乐播传媒 should serve as an example for other companies, particularly in maintaining environmental preservation and balance. I also observed that PT 乐播传媒 has good long-term planning and hope it can provide greater equity for the community,” he said.
These two days of visits underscore that good environmental management is not merely a regulatory obligation but a long-term investment in the sustainability of the industry and community welfare.
