The Comunidades em Rede Project is a territorial development initiative aimed at strengthening community entrepreneurship in the Parque da Cachoeira territory, located in the municipality of Brumadinho, in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. The initiative is grounded in the understanding that local development happens when production, market, and identity move together, and it is on this principle that the project structures its actions alongside the region's businesses.

Comunidades em Rede operates through three integrated fronts: continuous training for entrepreneurs, specialized technical advisory, and network building among local businesses. Each of these fronts is built collaboratively, respecting the territory's vocations and the particularities of each venture. The goal is not only to qualify individually, but to create an environment in which businesses strengthen one another and contribute to the local economy in a collective and sustainable way.

Training, advisory, and continuous support

Throughout the project, 29 local entrepreneurs participated in ongoing training processes developed from the reality of the Parque da Cachoeira territory. These processes were designed to go beyond technical qualification: they sought to broaden participants' business vision, develop management skills, and encourage the exchange of experiences among community entrepreneurs.

Of the 29 participants, 18 businesses received individualized technical advisory and permanent follow-up throughout the entire execution of the project. Comunidades em Rede ensured that 100% of participating businesses had access to some form of productive support and mentoring, advancing at different levels of activity structuring, from internal process organization to market and client relationships.

Concrete impacts on Brumadinho's local economy

With more than 1,500 hours of field advisory accumulated, the project generated concrete impacts on the day-to-day operations of businesses in Parque da Cachoeira. Among the main results are the optimization of productive processes, the activation of new sales channels, the strengthening of local product and service circulation, the expansion of business visibility, and the support of collective building spaces that reinforce bonds among entrepreneurs and the territory's identity.

The result consolidated by Comunidades em Rede is a more integrated economic ecosystem in Parque da Cachoeira. Production, market, and territory have come to connect more organically, generating real income opportunities and sustainable development for the local community. The project demonstrates that territory-based initiatives, when structured with active listening and continuous support, have the capacity to transform not only individual businesses, but the economic and social dynamics of an entire region.
