8th Organic Rice Harvest by PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½¡¯s Morowali Farmers: A Strong Synergy for National Food Security

 
 

Farmers supported by PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Indonesia Tbk (PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½) through the Indonesia Growth Project (IGP) Morowali successfully completed their eighth organic rice harvest on Monday, December 1, 2025, in Ululere Village, Bungku Timur District, Morowali. This milestone reflects the continuity and success of the organic farming program that has been running for several years.

The harvest event was attended by representatives from the Indonesian Navy (Danlanal Palu), Ululere Village Head, and PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½¡¯s team¡ªunderscoring the strong collaboration between the company, local communities, and government institutions in advancing food security aligned with sustainable development goals.

Captain Djito, representing the Indonesian Navy, expressed admiration for the farmers¡¯ achievements:
¡°We came here to see the farmers¡¯ progress, and this organic rice harvest is truly remarkable. We hope that farmers, the military, and PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ will continue to strengthen their partnership. Any gaps farmers face can be supported through PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½¡¯s programs. Communities around PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ should grow and enjoy the benefits they aspire to,¡± he said.

Ululere Village Head, Arman, emphasized the importance of multi-stakeholder synergy to expand the program¡¯s impact:
¡°We hope this collaboration will empower more farmers in the future. The military can assist through the national food security program, such as opening new farmland. Our community is ready to plant,¡± he stated.

This achievement aligns with the government¡¯s Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) 2025¨C2029, which targets food self-sufficiency as part of the President¡¯s Asta Cita vision. The program promotes reduced dependency on chemical inputs and encourages environmentally friendly practices.

PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½¡¯s management welcomed the success as a tangible commitment to community development:
¡°This eighth harvest is the result of farmers¡¯ hard work and collective support. We believe food security is a key pillar of sustainability. PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ will continue to support organic farming through technical assistance and capacity building. Beyond economic benefits, the program supports national food security and reduces reliance on chemical agriculture. By prioritizing eco-friendly principles, PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ contributes to creating a sustainable agricultural ecosystem.
