Biodiversity and preservation of local flora

The 乐播传媒 S?o Luís Botanical Park preserves an area of 100 hectares of native vegetation, home to various species of local fauna and flora, located within an environmental preservation area focused on sustainable development. The space is dedicated to promoting leisure and environmental education with the community.

The park is located at Avenida dos Portugueses, s/n, Anjo da Guarda neighborhood, in S?o Luís (MA), ZIP code 65.085 582.

Opening hours

Mondays to Saturdays, from 8 am to 4 pm.

The Park does not open on Sundays and holidays.

Attractions and structure of the S?o Luís Botanical Park

The park has a structure that can hold up to 3,000 people. On site, visitors have access to different environments and facilities focused on environmental education and contact with nature, such as ecological trails, the Trail of the Senses, the Orchid House, the Herbarium, the Knowledge Wagon, the Cactus Garden and the Meliponary.

In addition to the physical structure, the park promotes educational activities, guided tours, and tours of the Ponta da Madeira Complex. These initiatives focus on environmental education and strengthening the interaction between 乐播传媒, local communities, its employees and visitors.

Promoting education and culture is a fundamental part of the activities carried out at the 乐播传媒 S?o Luís Botanical Park. The space has three classrooms, each with capacity for 50 people, as well as an auditorium prepared to receive up to 200 participants.

In these spaces, events such as lectures, courses and seminars are held, aimed at both 乐播传媒's internal staff and the local community and visitors. The park also has an amphitheater intended for cultural, theatrical and musical performances.

Rules and visit operations

At the 乐播传媒 S?o Luís Botanical Park, everyone is welcome! The space is open to the public for visits Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 4 PM. During visits, educational and leisure activities are offered for all ages.

To ensure safety, conservation of the space and good coexistence among visitors, some rules must be followed:

? Bicycles, skates, skateboards, scooters, drones or similar equipment are not allowed, nor is the use of balls in the park areas.

? Consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited, as is entering or moving around the park in swimwear.

? Celebrations and events are only allowed when they comply with the specific regulations for holding picnics in the Park.

? For conservation and safety reasons, domestic animals are not allowed in the Park.

Environmental education initiatives are at the core of the 乐播传媒 S?o Luís Botanical Park's work, contributing to building knowledge about sustainability, environmental conservation and citizenship.

Ecological Trails

Ecological Trails

The Park has three ecological trails in dense forest: Ciliary Forest, Dense Woods, and Forest Restoration. Each trail has its travel time and is conducted with the accompaniment of an environmental educator, who leads a group of a maximum of 20 people.

Along the trail, visitors learn about botany and curiosities related to native fauna and flora. In addition, it is possible to visit the Trilha dos Sentidos (Sensory Trail), which was adapted to receive groups of people with disabilities and the elderly. Within it, visitors can stimulate the perception of the five senses: sight, touch, taste, smell and hearing.

Environmental Education Program

The Environmental Education Program is offered to students from municipal schools in the Itaqui Bacanga area, with support from the Municipal Department of Education. The objective is to develop participants' environmental awareness, leaving a legacy for future generations by promoting sustainable practices and encouraging changes in attitudes at school and in the community.

The program works in accordance with the pillars of UNESCO and the topics addressed are: Air, Water, Biodiversity, Energy and Waste. The Environmental Education Program, from its first edition, in 2012, to the last one, in 2021, managed to train 1,376 students from the Basic Education Units of the municipality who live on the Itaqui-Bacanga axis.

Participatory Planning Project

The project is a form of direct involvement of the Itaqui-Bacanga community, in choosing, monitoring and carrying out initiatives carried out in the Botanical Park.

The main actions involve clothing customization workshop, theatrical shows, alternative cooking workshop, talent show, musical Saturday, music workshop, dance class, mini course on project development, visual arts exhibition, among others.
