PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Indonesia Wins Two HR Asia Awards, Reinforcing Commitment to a People-Centered Workplace

 

Jakarta, June 5, 2026 ¡ª PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Indonesia Tbk (¡°PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½¡± or ¡°the Company¡±), an integrated and sustainable nickel mining company, has received two awards at the HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia Awards: HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2026 and the HR Asia People Transformation Award 2026.

The awards were accepted in Jakarta by Ranty Astari Rachman, Corporate Secretary, and Gandi Husodo, Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition, Performance Management & EVP, on behalf of the Company. 

Organized by Business Media International (BMI), the HR Asia Awards apply the proprietary Total Engagement Assessment Model (TEAM) methodology, which measures employee engagement, attitudes, motivation, and overall workplace experience. The standardized framework enables benchmarking across industries and countries, making it a credible measure of organizational excellence across Asia.

Previously, in September 2025, PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ was certified as a Great Place to Work.

For PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½, these recognitions reflect its long-term investment in building a safe, inclusive workplace that fosters talent development and supports sustainable business growth. With more than 3,000 employees across multiple operational sites, the Company continues to strengthen its human capital strategy as a core element of Indonesia¡¯s critical minerals downstreaming and transformation agenda.

This commitment is demonstrated through various talent development programs. One example is the Cooperative Education Program (Co-ops), developed in collaboration with Hasanuddin University to bridge academia and industry. In the 2025 intake, 16 students were selected from 48 candidates to participate in a six-month full-time internship within PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½¡¯s operations.

Internally, the Company continues to invest in employee growth. In 2024, a total of 370 employees were promoted, while 143 non-staff employees obtained national professional certifications through Indonesia¡¯s Professional Certification Institute (LSP). All employees also undergo formal performance evaluations as part of a structured career development framework.

PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½¡¯s commitment to people extends to local community empowerment. Since commencing operations, the Company has engaged more than 11,000 local community members as employees and business partners, 87% of whom are from East Luwu and South Sulawesi. To further strengthen workforce readiness, PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ runs competency-building initiatives such as the Vocational Short-Term Training (VST) program in collaboration with the East Luwu Regency Government and Sorowako Polytechnic.

In parallel, the Company continues to foster a more inclusive work environment. Women currently represent 11.6% of the workforce, including 17 in managerial positions. PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ also employs 70 persons with disabilities across various organizational functions and maintains equal pay for equal work regardless of gender. Its Wellness Program, involving 623 employees and contractors, has delivered measurable benefits, with 98% of active participants reporting improved health and energy levels.

The HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2026 award adds to PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½¡¯s growing list of recognitions in sustainability, governance, and environmental stewardship.
