This commitment was underscored by the Indonesia Growth Project (IGP) Morowali during a series of Ramadan gatherings with journalists in Morowali on Wednesday (March 11, 2026) and in Palu on Thursday (March 12, 2026). The events served as an open dialogue forum aimed at deepening media understanding of project developments and the company¡¯s sustainability policies.

This initiative also forms an essential part of PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½¡¯s broader communication strategy to strengthen information transparency and build public trust, particularly in the company¡¯s operational areas.

Progress of the IGP Morowali Project and Social Contributions to Local Communities

During the meetings, the company presented the latest progress of the Indonesia Growth Project (IGP) Morowali throughout 2025. The project¡ªrepresenting an investment of approximately US$2 billion¡ªhas achieved significant milestones that reflect PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½¡¯s commitment to strong operational standards. The first shipment of saprolite nickel ore from the Bahodopi Block in July 2025 marked the start of project operations in line with the approved work plan, followed by the inauguration of a seedling and nursery facility as part of the company¡¯s environmental stewardship and land rehabilitation efforts.

Construction progress, permitting processes, and the development of the processing plant area in Sambalagi continue to advance with careful planning and adherence to high governance standards. PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ targets phased operations beginning late 2026 to early 2027, with a long?term focus on sustainability and maximizing national economic value.

In addition to operational updates, PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ highlighted the importance of its social contribution programs, underscoring that community well?being is an integral part of the company¡¯s sustainability mandate. In Morowali, the company¡¯s Community Development and Empowerment Program (PPM) plays a central role in generating positive impact. Current initiatives include the operation of a community?based waste management facility (TPS3R) serving hundreds of households, vocational education programs that strengthen the skills of the local workforce, and maternal and child health initiatives through the provision of medical equipment in underserved areas. These efforts underline the company¡¯s commitment to community?driven sustainable development around its operational sites.
