Both parties have reached a comprehensive resolution regarding the longstanding land issue in the Old Camp area of Sorowako. The agreement was formalized through the signing of settlement documents between the company and community representatives, witnessed directly by Regent Irwan Bachri Syam at the Nuha District Office on Thursday (March 12). This initiative marks a significant step toward ensuring a transparent, orderly, and legally sound resolution for affected residents.

As part of this process, 23.1 hectares of land in the Old Camp area will be allocated to 886 designated recipients, reflecting PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½¡¯s commitment to fulfilling its historical obligations while supporting better?structured and sustainable land management practices.

Yusri Yunus, Head of External Relations for Sorowako and Outer Area, emphasized that this resolution is the result of intensive dialogue and coordination among the company, local government, and community members.

¡°For the community, land is more than an asset¡ªit represents livelihood, dignity, and hope for future generations. Therefore, PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ views this resolution as a shared responsibility, carried out collaboratively with the East Luwu Regency Government to ensure a transparent, orderly process that provides fair and clear outcomes for all parties,¡± Yusri stated.

Beyond land distribution, PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ will also support the structuring of the area and the development of road access as directed by local authorities. These steps are expected to help transform the location into a well?organized zone that offers long?term benefits for the surrounding communities.

This collaboration reflects the company¡¯s commitment to building constructive relationships with stakeholders while ensuring that every development process aligns with strong governance principles and social sustainability.
As one of Indonesia¡¯s leading nickel mining companies, PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ recognizes that robust partnerships with local government and communities are essential for maintaining sustainable operations and contributing to regional development.

In the same spirit of collaboration, PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ is also supporting a series of Ramadan gatherings organized by the East Luwu Regency Government across several districts, including Nuha, Wotu, Wasuponda, Malili, and Towuti.

The Ramadan period serves as an important moment to strengthen unity among government, business, and the community.

¡°Ramadan reminds us that sustainable development is built not only on investment and programs, but also on trust and shared values between government, communities, and industry,¡± Yusri added.

The series of activities concluded with a communal fast?breaking event involving the East Luwu Regency Government, local communities, and PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½¡ªsymbolizing collective commitment to building a stronger, more prosperous future for the region.
