IGP Morowali
Indonesia Growth Project (IGP) Morowali is an integrated nickel development project by PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Indonesia Tbk located in Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi. The project combines nickel mining operations with a processing facility using High-Pressure Acid Leach (HPAL) technology to produce mixed hydroxide precipitate (MHP), a key material for electric vehicle batteries.
With an investment of approximately US$2 billion, IGP Morowali is designed to achieve an annual production capacity of around 60,000¨C73,000 tons of nickel, supported by integrated infrastructure including port facilities and an energy supply of up to 500 MW.
Mining operations are managed by PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Indonesia, while the processing facility is developed through PT Bahodopi Nickel Smelting Indonesia (BNSI), a joint venture with global partners. The project plays a strategic role in advancing downstream mineral processing in Indonesia, strengthening the country¡¯s position in the global electric vehicle supply chain, and promoting sustainable development through ESG principles.
RKEF Smelter 3D Model
The nickel processing facility in Morowali will be the second lowest carbon emission RKEF factory in Indonesia after PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½'s smelter in Sorowako.

Built in an industrial zone powered by green energy, it is designed to be a net-zero operation.
Equipped with R&D facilities, supporting knowledge transfer to Indonesia.
The investment value reaches US$2.0 billion (including the HPAL plant and the mine).
The HPAL plant is scheduled for completion in 2027.
As of November 2024, the number of workers exceeds 2,000 people.

Priority on Environmental, Social and Governance
Protecting the Environment
We are committed to bringing our best operating practices from Sorowako to this expansion project. Regarding the environment, IGP Morowali will apply good mining practices as has been implemented in Sorowako.
Growing With Community
We are also committed to advancing the economy, increasing community capacity, and protecting the environment in conducting business and operations.
Even though the mining and processing activities at IGP Morowali have not started yet, we continue to run various social programs. In 2015-2021, we have disbursed IDR46.06 billion for various Community Development and Empowerment (PPM) programs. One of them, in 2021, we have started introducing the Organic System of Rice Intensification (SRI) concept to farmers in the empowerment area.
Talent Priority and Governance
We are committed to complying with laws and regulations and upholding human rights. Our recruitment process at IGP Morowali adheres to our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) commitment. This project is projected to absorb up to 15 thousand workers in the construction phase.
We will also optimize the involvement of local entrepreneurs in the Morowali Site. We have conducted a series of Technical Training activities for Local Entrepreneurs to Participate in Goods and Services Tenders.
