Strengthening Healthcare Resilience in Kolaka, PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Donates Ambulance to Support Red Cross Operations


 

KOLAKA, 18 March 2026 - Amid the growing demand for healthcare services driven by increasing economic activity in Kolaka Regency, PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Indonesia Tbk, through the Indonesia Growth Project (IGP) Pomalaa, has donated an ambulance unit to support the operations of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) in Kolaka Regency. This contribution is expected to strengthen the region¡¯s emergency response capacity, which continues to face challenges due to limited fleet availability.

The handover ceremony took place on Wednesday, March 17, 2026, at the Kolaka Regency Health Office, as part of PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½¡¯s ongoing commitment to supporting improvements in public services, particularly within the health sector.

This initiative is part of the company¡¯s 2024 Community Development and Empowerment Program (PPM), which is designed to address priority needs within the communities surrounding its operational areas.

As the IGP Pomalaa strategic project continues to expand, Kolaka Regency has experienced a significant rise in economic activity and population mobility. This development directly increases the demand for public services, including healthcare and emergency response. In this context, PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ positions itself not only as an industrial operator but also as a development partner contributing to the strengthening of social infrastructure and essential public services.
Hasmir, Manager of External Relations Pomalaa, emphasized that the support reflects the company¡¯s long?term approach to creating sustainable positive impact.

¡°Strengthening healthcare services is a crucial element in improving community well?being, especially in rapidly growing regions. Through this support, we hope to enhance emergency preparedness while reinforcing the healthcare service system in Kolaka,¡± he said.

The ambulance will be used to support patient transfers and evacuations¡ªincluding emergency care, disaster response, and other public health needs¡ªthrough PMI¡¯s operational services in Kolaka Regency.

The Chair of PMI Kolaka Regency, Hj. Andi Wahida, S.Pd., MM, expressed appreciation for the assistance. According to her, the support aligns closely with PMI¡¯s current operational needs. ¡°We are truly grateful for PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½¡¯s support. Previously, we faced limitations due to aging and less reliable vehicles. With this new ambulance, we are optimistic about improving our emergency response services for the community,¡± she said.

She added that the ambulance will serve multiple purposes, from patient evacuation and accident response to disaster relief operations.

Through this initiative, PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ reaffirms its commitment to delivering sustainable value to communities within its operational areas. The company believes that industrial growth must go hand in hand with strengthened social capacity and public services to ensure that the benefits of development are shared inclusively and sustainably.
