From Crisis to Relief: PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Responds Swiftly to Severe Windstorms and Flooding Impact in Pomalaa

 

Pomalaa, May 5, 2026 ¡ª PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Indonesia Tbk (PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½), through its Indonesia Growth Project (IGP) Pomalaa, has reaffirmed its commitment to local communities by swiftly delivering assistance to residents affected by a recent windstorm and flooding in Pomalaa District, Kolaka Regency.

On Sunday, May 3, 2026, PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ provided direct support to six households impacted by the tornado in Huko-Huko Village. Each family received essential relief packages valued at approximately IDR 1.6 million (around USD 100), comprising 50 kilograms of rice, eggs, tea, cooking oil, and five sarongs. In addition, the Company has allocated building materials assistance worth IDR 5 million (around USD 300) per household, which is currently in the procurement process.

The distribution of aid was witnessed by Huko-Huko Village Head, Sahabuddin, who expressed his appreciation for PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½¡¯s prompt response and continued support for the affected community.

¡°We sincerely appreciate the assistance extended by PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½. Their swift response has been invaluable for our residents during this challenging time,¡± said Sahabuddin.

 

PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½¡¯s rapid response also extended to a separate incident when flooding struck Pesouha Village on the evening of Monday, May 4, 2026. Through its Emergency Response team, the Company deployed fire trucks to assist residents in clearing mud from homes, yards, and drainage systems.

Iswan, a resident of Pesouha Village, commended the Company¡¯s immediate action, noting its tangible impact in helping the community navigate the emergency.

¡°PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ responded quickly to support residents affected by the disaster. We truly felt the benefits of their presence,¡± said Iswan, who also serves as Chairman of the Tamalaki Nibandera community organization.

Adam Chalid, Senior Coordinator for Stakeholder Relations at PT ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Pomalaa, emphasized that the rapid response reflects the Company¡¯s ongoing commitment to supporting communities, particularly in times of emergency.
