Measures taken regarding water overflows in Ouro Preto and Congonhas
We are continuously working to restore the conditions of the areas affected by the water overflows with sediments recorded on January 25 at the F¨¢brica mine in Ouro Preto and the Viga mine in Congonhas.
Our focus is to reinforce operational safety and maintain full transparency and clarifications with the authorities and society.
At both mines, we are adopting measures to reduce water turbidity and carrying out daily environmental monitoring of streams. We have also started cleaning and dredging of the watercourses.
